On 6-7 April, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis attended a meeting of the North Atlantic Council at the level of Ministers of Foreign Affairs in Brussels, Belgium. Allied Foreign Ministers discussed their support to Ukraine, response to Russian aggression and ongoing war crimes, the development of NATO’s next Strategic Concept, to guide the Alliance’s adaptation to the new global security reality and coordination with partners regarding challenges posed by China.

On 31 March, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis participated in the Bucharest Nine (B9) meeting of Foreign Ministers in Bratislava, Slovakia. The meeting focused on Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, the security situation in countries on NATO’s eastern flank, and preparations for a meeting of the North Atlantic Council at the level of Ministers of Foreign Affairs to be held on 6 and 7 April.

On 4 March  in Brussels, Belgium, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis took part in the extraordinary meeting of NATO Foreign Affairs Ministers with Finland, Sweden and the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell, which focused on a significant change in the European security situation and the coordination of NATO's response and support to Ukraine.

On 22 February, a special informal meeting of EU foreign ministers on the situation in Ukraine was held in Paris, France, as Russia decided to recognize the independence of the two areas in Ukraine’s Luhansk and Donetsk oblasts held by Russian-backed separatists, and to send troops to eastern Ukraine.

"It is a great day, on which we can welcome the U.S. Secretary of Defence to Lithuania. This visit was very much needed at the moment. In our opinion, Russia poses a threat not only to Ukraine, but also to the whole region. Russia clearly demonstrates that it is choosing a path of force. This is extremely dangerous to the Baltic states, because our security depends on compliance with agreements," said the Deputy Minister of National Defence, Minister of Foreign Affairs Gabrielius Landsbergis in a meeting with the U.S. Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin, who was visiting Vilnius on 18 February.

On 3 February, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania Gabrielius Landsbergis took part in a remote a meeting of Foreign Ministers in the Bucharest Nine (B9) format. The meeting was held at the initiative of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Poland and Romania to discuss the security situation on the eastern flank of NATO, the strengthening of support for Ukraine, as well as to coordinate positions, when countering Russia’s aggressive posture and responding to the Kremlin’s inadequate demands.

On 7 January, Foreign Vice-Minister Egidijus Meilūnas attended an extraordinary remote meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers to discuss the security situation in Europe in connection with the deployment of Russian troops near Ukraine and to conduct consultations before the intended contact of NATO and its allies with Russia, including the NATO-Russia Council scheduled for 12 January.
