Diplomatic relations were established on 13 May 1997.
From 2001 to 2004, Vytautas Antanas Dambrava served as the first Ambassador of Lithuania to Andorra after the re-establishment of independence (resided in Spain).
From 2008 to 2009, Jaume Gaytán Sansa served as the first Ambassador of Andorra to Lithuania (resided in Portugal).
