On March 10 in Ottawa, the Ambassador of Lithuania to Canada Darius Skusevičius conferred the Medal of Honour – Lithuanian Diplomacy Star – on The Honourable Robert Keith Rae, Canada’s current Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations.

On March 11, 1990, democratically elected Parliament of the Republic of Lithuania declared the Restoration of the Independence. 32 years ago, Lithuanian people set themselves free after 5 decades of soviet occupation. To remember the victims of Bloody Sunday, the Embassy of Lithuania to Canada invited Lithuanians and friends of Lithuania in Canada for the tribute run "Road of Life and Death" in Ottawa on January 8, 2022. Participants completed a symbolic 9 kilometers run - the distance from Antakalnis Cemetery, where the victims of the events of January 13th are laid to rest, to Vilnius TV Tower, which they were defending.

The launch of exhibition “Long Journey Home – Great Discovery”, prepared by Canadian Lithuanian museum-archives, will be launched on November 24, 7 PM (Toronto time). Danguolė Juozapavičiūtė-Breen, the director of Lithuanian museum-archives of Canada, together with experts from Canada and Lithuania will present the most important interwar international treaties of Lithuania, the fate of which has been unknown for more than 80 years, that were returned to Lithuania earlier this year.
